No. The program has no technical prerequisites and is pitched at beginner level. What it does need is a self-learner's attitude — you'll be working through material between sessions on your own.
Yes — the schedule is built for it. Weekday sessions run after 5 PM and the hands-on lab work is on Saturdays. Budget 20 to 25 hours a week including your own work time. Plenty of graduates did it alongside full-time work.
Both Arabic and English. You'll want strong Arabic listening and speaking for the sessions, and intermediate English reading and writing for the technical material and documentation.
Minimum Windows 8.1 or macOS Mojave, a 64-bit processor, 4 GB of RAM, 20 GB of free disk space, and either a dedicated GPU or integrated graphics. You'll also need a reliable internet connection and the basic ability to install programs and move files around.
No. The lectures and one weekly session are online, but the fabrication is on real machines at the Fab Lab, and you need regular access to it. There's no accommodation for distance-only learning.
A rented kit is yours for the three months and must be returned in full when you finish — it's the cheapest way in. An owned kit is yours permanently, so you can keep building after the diploma ends. You pick which one you want inside the application. You can see the full component list here.
On average within 2 to 3 weeks of submitting, and never later than two weeks before the round kicks off. If you're shortlisted you'll be invited to an online interview, then a short technical assessment, then a final decision.
English — all responses must be submitted in English, to prepare you for the international maker ecosystem.

Attend the lectures and sessions, complete the weekly assignments, document your work in text, photos and video before each deadline, and meet the technical requirements on your final project — documented before the deadline too.
This is a self-funded program, so plan for the fee. That said, installment plans are available on every seat, and extra discounts or partial financial support are possible for eligible high-potential applicants through our partners and program supporters. There's no separate form — it's assessed from your normal application.
Three months from December you could be holding the thing you've been describing to people for years. The Early Bird closes on 1 October — after that the same seat costs more.
